In Payment Evolution we have payroll RP0001 and RP0002. You have asked us to set up 2 client accounts to accommodate this. There are 2 employees who work for both RP0001 and RP0002. The problem is the system is calculating the $3500 CPP exemption twice. Is there a way to turn off the $3500 CPP basic exemption on an employee? If not then we are having to do manual calculations.

  Thanks for contacting us. We called the Canadian Payroll Association regarding this question and they confirmed that you as the employer should be taking the CPP exemption for both accounts and it is up to the employee to work with CRA at tax time to get these amounts refunded.
